Liu Feng-Yuan

Feng-Yuan Liu is the CEO & Co-founder and CEO of BasisAI, a Singapore-headquartered augmented intelligence software company that helps data-driven enterprises deploy AI responsibly. In his previous capacity, he was the Chief Data Scientist of the Singapore government, where he built Govtech data science team and is responsible for leading and driving Smart Nation data initiatives for the Singapore government and led key projects for the Smart Nation initiative.

Ian Bailie

INTERNATIONAL
PRODUCTION DESIGNER AND
ART DIRECTOR

Ian Bailie is a British / Irish born International Production Designer and Supervising Art Director. With 30 years’ experience in the industry covering features, TV, commercials and live shows. He is a passionate exponent of the craft of Film making, combining cutting edge techniques with traditional craft and a rigid eye for detail with exigent budgetary control and outstanding creativity.
 
His art direction on period dramas such as Universal’s PRIDE & PREJUDICE (England 1813) and ATONEMENT (England and France 1939/40) nominated for OSCAR & BAFTA, and for Excellence in Art Direction by the Art Directors guild of America. His famous Dunkirk set in Atonement was a 1/2 mile long. His Medieval Fortress in Spyglass’ REIGN OF FIRE sported a footprint the size of 12 football fields. His work on Bruce Beresford’s EVELYN was set in Ireland in the 1950’s. Sc-fi features BEYOND SKYLINE & was set in ancient temple ruins in Asian jungles and on an alien space-craft. The space-craft sets were scripted at heights over 100 feet high and he designed the VFX extensions for these huge interiors. DEADMINE was set in a Japanese 2nd World War subterranean maze of interiors which he designed and built successfully on a ridiculously small budget. Art directed the Scott Free futuristic feature EQUALS. Produced by Ridley Scott, who’s one of the world’s top 10 Sci-fi directors, alongside George Lucas.
 
He has designed several horror films for Roger Corman and has more recently completed photography in Hungary on Neil Marshal’s THE RECKONING set in England in the 17th Century against the Great Plaque and Witch Hunts. The Reckoning has just won 11 awards at the FICOCC and NY Festivals 2020 including BEST ART DIRECTION. Thriller’s such as Tony Gilroy’s screenplay BEIRUT was set in Beirut in 1972 & 1982. Ian built sets and transformed areas of Tangier into war torn Beirut. LIONSGATE’S JOHN WICK 3, judged by his peers at 2020 BFDG won BEST DESIGN & Art Direction. All testament to his versatility and extensive repertoire.
 
Fantasy is not beyond his reach designing earlier Netflix’s 2019’s CHRISTMAS PRINCE 3 for their popular franchise.
 
Ian’s passion in film and problem solving on tight budgets partners very well with his passion for travel and interacting with other cultures.

Emily Tan

Emily Tan is General Manager of Shell’s global City Solutions business. It forms part of New Energies which is focused on building a lower-carbon power business. City Solutions aims to help government, industry and society navigate the energy transition through integrated urban solutions. Its three main areas are mobility, energy and the environment. City Solutions takes a holistic view of stakeholders’ needs, drawing on Shell’s global expertise and extensive partner network to seamlessly implement and deploy the best solutions.
 
Emily has over 12 years’ experience in business and operations roles at Shell. Prior to Shell she has started a company in technology commercialization and held leadership roles at the Singapore Economic Development Board. She holds an MBA from INSEAD, France and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
DRE is positioned to be a leader in the Corporate Travel market. The DRE platform will enable the booking and managing of travel expenses while connecting directly to client’s expense software. Starting in Asia with limousine bookings and airport transfers, DRE will expand to other corporate travel needs (restaurant reservations and entertainment). Transactions will be handled by expense management software or a proprietary payment gateway.

Andre Cherbonnier

FOUNDER, DRE TECH

Andre returned to Asia in 2006 after completing a Finance Degree from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. Originally hired by Standard Chartered Bank, NYC, Andre began his career on the commodity derivatives desk at SCB Singapore with time spent on the Hedge Fund Credit Risk team and the Chemicals Industry Investment Banking group. It was in the Institutional Sales Team however that his career was forged focusing on Real Money, Hedge Fund, Sovereign and Bank Sales. His experience to date includes starting the Singapore office for the eFX vendor, Edgewater Markets and as well as stints at Commerzbank and Bank of New York Mellon covering Institutional Sales in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.

Andre left banking to spearhead Regional Sales at the Fitnech, MarketAxess, where he looks after regional Institutional Clients.

With Andre as the Co-Founder of DRE Tech, they launched DRE Valet, a mobility app that allows users to book vetted valets on demand – the company and it’s the founding members have strived to reinvent on-demand valets market by building an infrastructure of B2B solutions and corporate partnerships while leveraging technology. This has resulted in several corporate mandates with clients such as Asia Pacific Breweries and Mercedes (Cycle & Carriage Singapore).

Outside of work, Andre finds distraction helping with the non-profit he cofounded during COVID – Majulah Movement, as well as Mixed Martial Arts, offshore fishing trips and his 7 year old son.

Xnergy is a leader in contactless technology (universal and high power) in the areas of Mobile robots and E-mobility applications globally.

The mission of Xnergy is to simplify and unify charging process with its universal, compact, and cost-efficient charger. This will speed up adoption that will make charging of battery becomes effortless for the user.

Dr CF Tong

Dr. CF Tong is the CEO and co-founder of Xnergy, a technology company headquarter in Singapore focusing on innovative charging technology for mobile robots. Xnergy have strong industrial experience founding members and is active in Asia and Europe for pilots with several Fortune 500 companies. CF holds a PhD from University of Warwick in Power Semiconductor Application.

Noam Maital

Noam Maital is the Co-founder and CEO of Waycare Technologies, which provides AI-driven, cloud-based solutions to optimize municipal traffic management systems. Prior to founding WayCare, Noam led global strategy projects in technology implementation, process innovation, and financial due diligence. Noam holds a BSc, Summa Cum Laude, from Babson College with a dual degree in Economics and Strategic Management. Prior to his academic studies, Noam served as a First Sergeant in the Israeli Defense Forces.

Dr Xin Ma

MANAGING DIRECTOR, ASIA PLATFORM, CARBON NEUTRALITY VENTURES

Dr Xin Ma is the Managing Director of Asia Platform, at Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures (TCNV) of the Group Total. She leads the investment activities in Asia for TCNV in the fields of energy, mobility and carbon neutrality/circular economy. She is responsible for TCNV’s investment in Grab, G7, Canopy Power and Cathay Energy Funds. The geographical focus of her currently investment are in SEA, China, India as well as developed Asia Pacific (Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zeland). She joined Total Group in 2009, where she held several posts before TCNV, including the Group’s Deputy Chief Economist, the head of Equity Development in China, as well as the head of Asia for M&A and New Business for the Marketing and Service Branch. As Chairman of Enterprise Singapore, Mr Peter Ong Boon Kwee plays a key role in steering Enterprise Singapore’s efforts to grow stronger Singapore enterprises. Mr Ong is also Senior Economic Advisor at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he provides strategic advice on Singapore’s economic strategies and champions efforts to enable robust enterprise growth.

Mr Ong currently sits on the Boards of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship. He has also been appointed as Special Global Advisor for Antler Innovation Pte Ltd.

AIRmaker was established in 2016 along with founding partners, Ascendas-Singbridge, Runyang Group & SGInnovate, with the vision to be ground for AIoT Innovations. AIRmaker invested in IoT (Internet-of-Things) start-ups focusing in Digital Health and Smart Cities segments. Aylwin Tan

CHIEF CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS OFFICER, CAPITALAND GROUP

Mr Aylwin Tan is the Chief Customer Solutions Officer of CapitaLand Group and is responsible for formulating and executing industry formation and development, marketing and key customer engagement strategies for CapitaLand Group. He is also the Chairman of AIRmaker, a co-innovation platform focusing on start-ups in the space of Internet of Things, and Director of the Smart Urban Co-Innovation Lab.

From 1994 to 2007, Mr Tan was part of the senior management team at the Economic Development Board (EDB). His many portfolios included charting Singapore’s regionalization strategies for Indochina and China that led to Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park and the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park. Between 1998 to 2004, he was posted to EDB’s Frankfurt office in Germany and served as Regional Director (Europe). Upon his return to Singapore, his responsibilities included Executive Director for Asia Pacific Operations; Communications; as well as Chief Information Officer.

From 1992 to 1994, Mr Tan was also the first Secretary of the Singapore-Shandong Business Council at then Singapore Trade Development Board and promoted many public sector projects as well as private sector projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore and completed his Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2012.

Between 2009 till 2018, Mr Tan also served as Singapore’s representative to the East Asia Business Council.

Rahul Nambiar

Rahul Nambiar is the Co-Founder and CEO of Botsync. Itay Bengad, MD

CEO & CO-FOUNDER, MDGo

Itay Bengad is CEO of MDGO and a member of its Board of Directors. During his medical studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Itay’s friend was involved in a major accident and rushed to the hospital. Once there, the trauma department scrambled to determine the injury’s type, severity, location and, therefore, the best course of treatment. This was when Itay decided to found a company that would allow real-time accident detection and response, to both provide drivers help when they need it most, and enable the best possible life-saving care in case of severe accidents. Itay holds a MD from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Alex Chua

Alex is the Chief Executive Officer of Goldbell Financial Services responsible for the overall strategy, business growth and performance of the company. Drawing on his extensive corporate finance and regional experience to address the challenges of an ever-evolving business landscape, Alex established Goldbell Financial Services in 2015 to meet the funding needs of the Group’s SME clients. Today, Goldbell Financial Service is one of Singapore’s fastest growing non-bank financial institutions.

Prior to Goldbell Financial Services, Alex was the Chief Operating Officer of Goldbell Group. He was also Head Of Equity Derivatives Retail Structured Products Distribution S.E.A at JP Morgan in Hong Kong. His 8 year stint at JP Morgan include the launch of the first-of-its-kind retail structured product for JP Morgan in Singapore, and the first retail fund in Malaysia tracking the performance of oil.

Alex is a board member of Food from the Heart and is part of the Youth Business Affairs Committee of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He holds an industrial engineering degree from University of Michigan.

Paul Scanlan

Kelvin Tay

Kelvin Tay is the Managing Director, Future Mobility and Advisor to CEO for Goldbell Group where he shapes the Group’s vision to be the leading player in the future mobility landscape for smart cities. He leads the Group’s innovation and transformation through new technologies in Goldbell’s core business and creates new revenue streams through venture building.
 
His expertise in business development, venture capital management and fund-raising initiatives equipped with skills and knowledge to head Southeast Asia’s leading mobility-focused accelerator programme MOVE.SG.
 
Throughout career, Kelvin has led the acquisition of game titles from China and launched a sports-based online game into the Chinese market as the Vice President of International Business Development in one of Southeast Asia’s top online game operators. He has launched a Southeast Asia e-commerce platform and steered the business to profitability where it had a rapid growth of 200% within two years, set up a S$10million venture capital fund, headed start-up incubators, led more than ten mergers and acquisitions of companies across Southeast Asia.
 
Kelvin graduated from Cornell University and started working with government agencies before moving into executive positions in the private sector.

Arthur Chua

CEO, GOLDBELL GROUP
CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER, SWAT MOBILITY

Arthur is the CEO of Goldbell Group, Singapore’s leading large vehicle and equipment distributor and leasing provider, operating in Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia. Arthur works closely with regional partners and governments focused on mobility, developing new business solutions. He is also a former board member of the Singapore River One Precinct, and a panel member in the Land Transport Master Plan Singapore 2040. Arthur is one of the youngest members to be admitted into Entrepreneurs Organization in 2008, and YPO in 2017.

Over recent years, Goldbell added to its business new models that involved a tech enabled core, business intelligence unit, corporate venture arm, a future mobility division that focuses on new spin-offs within the group receiving external investments, Singapore’s first mobility focused accelerator, and one of the fastest growing non-bank Financial Institution in Singapore.

Arthur co-founded SWAT Mobility in 2017, a SaaS business which focuses on optimising public and private commute, currently in 7 countries; amongst other new establishments that will be released in the coming year.

Chris Sheldrick

Chris is Co-Founder and CEO of what3words. Previously managing large scale music events around the world, he experienced how bands constantly got lost trying to find venues due to inadequate or poor addressing. He realised that addressing just wasn’t good enough, and the problem was universal.

Determined to find a global solution, Chris co-founded what3words, the simplest way to talk about location. It has divided the world into 3m squares and given each a unique 3 word address. It means that now people can refer to any precise location in just three words – from a delivery entrance in the city to a home in a settlement where addresses don’t exist.

Professor Freddy Boey

DEPUTY PRESIDENT (INNOVATION AND ENTERPRISE), NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE

Professor Boey oversees the University’s initiatives and activities for innovation, entrepreneurship and research translation.

An alumnus of NUS, Professor Boey was the Deputy President and Provost of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from 2011-2017. During his tenure as the Provost, he helped transformed NTU into a world class Research University, jumping from 74th in 2011 to 11th in the world in the QS 2017 University World Ranking to be No.1 in Asia. NTU College of Engineering was also ranked 4th in the 2017 QS world subject ranking. He also led in building Singapore’s 3rd Medical School, the Lee Kong Chian Medical School, with Imperial College London. He was conferred the 2016 National Day Public Administration Gold Medal for this effort

He was the Chair of NTU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) from 2004 to 2010, transforming it into NTU’s top research school and became known as one of the world’s foremost MSE institution. Although MSE only started in 2000, it ranked 6th in QS world subject ranking and 2nd in US News world ranking in 2015 & 2016, with an outstanding reputation for generating start up technologies that can be commercialized. Professor Boey won the Singapore National Day Public Administration Silver Medal in 2010 for his achievement in building the School of MSE.

A keen inventor, Professor Boey pioneered the use of functional biomaterials for medical devices in Singapore. He was conferred Singapore’s highest Scientific Award, the Singapore President Science & Technology Medal (PSM) for lifetime achievement, and the prestigious Imperial College London Faculty of Medicine Fellow award, both in 2013, for his biomedical research achievements. His research team also won the 2014 President’s Technology Award (PSTA) for using nanostructures with a novel drug delivery approach to combat blindness from glaucoma.

He has developed 127 patents and founded several companies to commercialize his cardiovascular, ocular and surgical implants. His customizable hernia mesh has received US and China FDA approvals and received US & China funding as a US company. His fully biodegradable heart stent company, Amaranth, has been substantially funded by a Silicon Valley VC, EDB and the top US Medical Device company, Boston Scientific, for a series of advanced US FDA clinical trials in several hundred patients worldwide. His most recent company, Peregrine, is based on a nano based drug delivery system to treat Glaucoma, which has been successfully deployed in human trials. Prof Boey’s research has been published in over 347 top journals with 23,555 citations and he has an H-Index of 71.

He previously served as director on the boards of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore and Defense Science Organisation. He remains a Director for the Health Sciences Authority and also contributes on many boards of nationally funded research centres. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials (UK) and the Institution of Engineers Singapore, and a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, and had been a member of the National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory and Singapore Rail Academy Board.

Vincent Wong

Mr Vincent Wong is the Director of R&D for Continental Automotive Singapore.
 
He heads the Research & Advanced Engineering group in Singapore where research and innovations activities in the area of Autonomous Driving, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber Security are carried out. Vincent leads the strategisation, proposition and execution of technological projects relevant to the eco-system of the Singapore and the region.
 
Prior to his current role, Vincent leads the application and platform development group for Business Unit Instrumentation & Driver HMI Singapore. In this role, Vincent is responsible for the R&D activities of Singapore and Penang to serve global automotive customers.
 
Vincent is the Chairman of the Infor Comm & New Technology Function Committee and a council member of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.
 
In-addition, Vincent is a member of the ITE Electronics & Info-Comm Technology Academic Advisory Committee.

Dr Jordan Nguyen

Dr Jordan Nguyen is a biomedical engineer, inventor, TV presenter, and author of A Human’s Guide to the Future. Upon completing his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney, he was accepted into the prestigious UTS Chancellor’s List. Drawing on his experience of almost breaking his own neck, he met driven individuals living with various disabilities and was inspired to then develop a mind-controlled smart wheelchair for people with high-level physical disability.
 
Now as founder of Psykinetic, he designs life-changing technologies focusing on intelligent, futuristic and inclusive technology, for disability, aged care and towards positive impact solutions for all. Jordan is always focussed on the ever-evolving intersections between technology and humanity, and how our advancements can benefit our future humanity, rather than destroy it.
 
He creates and presents documentaries on ABC Catalyst and Discovery Channel uncovering the advancements, ethical issues and positive impact opportunities in our globally advancing science and technology. He was a 2017 finalist in Australian of the Year for NSW, named in the Top 100 Most Influential People Globally on Virtual Reality, in Harper BAZAAR Australia’s Visionary Men 2019, and he recently had the honour of being Master of Ceremonies for former President Barack Obama during his visit to Australia.

Jianxiong Xiao (Professor X)

Jianxiong Xiao (a.k.a., Professor X) is the Founder and CEO of AutoX, a world-leading company in self-driving car technologies. AutoX’s mission is to democratize autonomy and enable autonomous driving to improve everyone’s life. Dr. Xiao has over ten years of research and engineering experience in Computer Vision, Autonomous Driving, and Robotics. In particular, he is a pioneer in the fields of 3D Deep Learning, RGB-D Recognition and Mapping, Big Data, Large-scale Crowdsourcing, and Deep Learning for Robotics.

Jianxiong received a BEng. and MPhil. in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2009. He received his Ph.D. from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2013. And he was an Assistant Professor at Princeton University and the founding director of the Princeton Computer Vision and Robotics Labs from 2013 to 2016.

His work has received the Best Student Paper Award at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) in 2012 and the Google Research Best Papers Award for 2012, and has appeared in the popular press. He was awarded the Google U.S./Canada Fellowship in Computer Vision in 2012, the MIT CSW Best Research Award in 2011, NSF/Intel VEC Research Award in 2016, and two Google Faculty Awards in 2014 and in 2015 respectively. He co-lead the MIT+Princeton joint team to participate in the Amazon Picking Challenge in 2016, and won the 3rd and 4th place worldwide. He was named to be one of the 35 Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review in 2017.

Baharav returned to Israel after living 12 years in the West Coast of the U.S., where he designed and launched Google’s advertising solution for retailers and led the highly competitive Google remarketing growth business. Prior to Google, Roy was a Co-Founder and CEO of SeamBI, a pioneer of Dynamic Product Placement. Prior to that, Roy served in senior positions in an elite intelligence unit in the IDF, including commander of a department of 40 engineers and technical experts.

Roy also sits on the board of SleepRate, the leading consumer app for sleep monitoring and treatment, and on the board of the U.S. non-profit organization UpStart labs.

Roy holds BSc. in Electrical Engineering and MBA, both from Tel-Aviv University.

Tony Han is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of WeRide. Formerly Chief Scientist of Baidu’s Autonomous Driving Unit, he is a Tenured Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Missouri (MU).
